Мне о Нем говорить очень трудно и сложно.
Он так полон был жизни и творческих сил.
Не могу я поверить, принять невозможно,
Что уже он не с нами, не есть Он, а был.
Он был смелым, как лев, непреклонен и стоек,
И рожден был для стройки по воле Богов,
Это Он поднимал этажи новостроек,
И они за собой поднимали Его
Из глубин котлованов и пыли кирпичной.
Он, постигший всю стройку с начала начал,
Никогда не желал орденов и отличий,
Но Его благодарный народ отличал.
Этот хваткий железный характер грузина
И энергия жарких кавказских кровей
Стали самой большой созидающей силой,
Поднимавшей на труд коллективы людей,
Чтоб росли корпуса самых новых заводов
И кварталам домов, чтоб расти и расти...
Это было о нас с вами доброй заботой,
Это был стиль работ, Каркашадзевский стиль.
Да, Он громы метал, словно Зевс-громовержец.
Что ж, в делах многотрудных и это зачтем.
Но никто Им за промахи не был повержен
И не сдан прокурорам. А было за что.
Он любил эту жизнь, что прекрасна и зыбка.
И не только суровым был, как человек.
И кто видел хоть раз Каркашадзе улыбку,
Тот был ею пленен, очарован навек.
Этот мир так красив, и просторен, и тесен.
На недельку бы в Грузию — солнечный край...
Но так много работы в любимой Одессе —
Все давай и давай, и сдавай и сдавай!
И в делах напряженных — суровый и стойкий,
Он, готовый упорно трудиться всегда,
Понимал: нужен делу, востребован стройкой,
И что это- судьба его, жизнь и звезда!
Founder
Mr. Givi Karkashadze, the founder of the construction company "ZARS", was born in Georgia in 1930. His first step on the way of mastering the building skill was graduating from the Batumi Marine School with the major "hydraulic works" in 1950. The young specialist was placed on job in Odessa, Ukraine to build the Odessa Sea Port what predetermined his further future. The hospitable Odessa became the second motherland for Givi Karkashadze, who devoted all his life to its prosperity. Mastering the profession orderly, gathering huge production experience, Givi Karkashadze passed through all levels of production: from master till the general manager of the biggest building enterprise "Odespromstroy". In parallel with gathering the practical skills he graduated from Odessa Building Institute with ‘production and civil building’ as major. The huge experience, talent and outstanding managerial skills implemented also in building of strategically important objects in Iraq in capacity of the assignee of Minugstroy of the USSR.
The name of Givi S. Karkashadze is inscribed with golden letters to the building history of Odessa. Under his management within 55 years of work in building there were millions of square meters of housing put in commission and such areas as Cheremushki, Tairova & Kotovskogo built. The scores of socially oriented entities in Odessa and Odessa Region such as Regional clinical hospital in Kotovskogo area, the hospital and sanatorium for disabled war veterans, publishing house "The Black Sea Commune", academic buildings of Polytechnic University and Building Academy, schools and nursery schools exist thanking to his fruitful activity. Solving the important questions of the modern building process Givi Karkashadze was substantially interested in the way the newest building technologies and progress in the building equipment as well as the mechanization of the workers labor are implemented into the building practice. He paid special attention to developing the industrial basis for building: ferroconcrete structures plants, reconstruction of Odessa integrated house-building factory for houses with increased number of storeys.
Givi Karkashadze actively used the most advanced constructions and technologies. Yet working as a manager of building site, for the first time in USSR in building yard environment he developed the manufacture of stressed ferroconcrete trusses of 24 meters span with parallel flanges for heavy load for bays of 12 meters. This allowed in short time terms to set in operation the unique climate-controlled production unit for production of extra accurate high-precision machine tool stations at Odessa high-precision machines plant (nowadays "MIKRON"). Under his management the following modern industrial factories were set in operation — Odessa Sea Terminal Factory for production of ammonia & urea; plants "Kinap", "ZOR" & "Zentrolit", works of peripheral equipment, DSK-3 (New Base), works of ferroconcrete items and expanded clay gravel (s. Kulindorovo), mechanical rubber items plant, "StroyGidravlika", "Prersmash", Medical equipment plant in Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy, Piston rings factory, "Neptun", "Shtorm", carton paper factory, etc.
In the period of cardinal economic and political changes in the country the talent and experience of the Builder with the capital letter got its new realization and 14 October 1996 the construction company "ZARS" was founded and started its fruitful functioning. As everything what was created by Givi Karkashadze the company features its circumstantiality, stability and high quality of building works proved with time.
All his life is the example of hardworking and selfless labor for the benefits of people.
In the grateful people’s memory Givi Karkashadze remained first of all as many-sided personality: strong-willed, demanding and at the same time very responsive and not indifferent person.
For outstanding services, fruitful labor, selfless and creative work Givi S. Karkashadze was awarded with two orders of Labor Red Banner, order of International Friendship, order of Marazli and many medals.
